Statement of Faith
The doctrinal position of Isaiah 61 is summarized in our nine-article statement of faith.

We Believe:
-
All words in the Scripture to be the inspired Word of God and that is final authority for Christian faith and life.
-
In the Trinity: One God in three Persons eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
-
That Jesus Christ fully God became fully man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, offered himself as a sacrifice to save us from sins and became ‘our righteousness' through faith. Further, He arose bodily and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
-
That the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and hence to continue the presence and work of Jesus in every generation. The Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of Truth will convict humankind, indwell, guide and empower the believer for godly living and service.
-
That humankind was created in the image of God but fell into sin and disobeyed God. Therefore only through sanctification by the Holy Spirit and transformation by the power of the cross can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
-
That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe and place their faith in Him alone.
-
That every believer should be baptized in water and the onus is on us to be filled daily with the Holy Spirit to grow and be disciples.
-
That the true church is the Body of Christ, of which He is the head and is composed of all who professed and put their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
-
That the imminent return of Jesus Christ to establish His eternal Kingdom and to judge all people according to their accounts before God. The wicked shall be separated from God’s presence but the righteous shall live and reign with Him forever.
